SUMMARY: Manny Arora, Pacman Jones’ Atlanta-based attorney, says he is disappointed in how his client has been treated by authorities in Las Vegas concerning two felony charges issued this week. Clark County District Attorney’s Office issued copies of the warrant to numerous media outlets on Wednesday when the actual warrant itself was not signed and issued until Thursday. “You have them sending out copies of the warrant to every media outlet around when in fact it wasn’t issued until today,” Arora said Thursday. “They tell me that they are going to treat him like everybody else in this matter, but how is that doing that?” Jones is expected to surrender to Las Vegas Police on the two charges today.

Jones needs to hire new lawyer(s), they've come across un-educated on a'couple of occasions... once the charges are filed, it becomes public record. He doesn't think that every media outlet wasn't waiting for those charges to become public record... no, they make a statement that Vegas went out of their way to contact the media... like this is their first high-profile case.

They called his decisions and actions stupid too, which I thought could have been handled better. They should have just talked about his right to be where he was and that he did nothing wrong. But he's a lawyer, not a public relations person, so in the end it won't matter much.

I think he realizes the PR battle was lost a long time go. He is setting up a "stupid is not a crime, my client is a celebrity victim" platform.

The statements regarding release of the charges to the media without a signature will aid Arora in his defense of Pac.

True, but anyone else up for making "stupid" a crime? Seems like we could get rid of more than 1/2 our laws and just replace them with "criminally stupid". It'd make the legal system so much more efficient.
