Nah there is no way Tubberville is clean. A friend and I actually overheard something highly inappropriate in a private setting regarding covering a point spread. And Auburn didn't just cover it, they beat the **** out of the team they were playing scoring late into the game once it was well over. As in never letting off the throttle.

It's the one time in my life I had sure bet information and I bet like $50 on Auburn lol. I guess we kind of thought it was just some hype talk, but afterwards really thinking about it... it was pretty real shady.

Well, maybe he knew way too much. Or wanted to stop the cheating. His ouster always struck me as kinda funny. Pat Dye would be on the Finebaum radio show weekly badmouthing him. And that is when he was winning and beating 'Bama. And Dye is Lowder's main proxy.

I mean they tried to get rid of him for Paterno way back.

There always seemed to be some beef between Tubbs and the power people at AU.

I am a Tubbs fan fwiw.

Yes, there certainly was. After that whole Jet gate thing Tubbs got real protective with the team. Kept people like Dye away. Check out the press conference introducing Chzick. Daye is there, to the best of my knowledge he was not a university employee, and said that this was the closest he had felt to the team in a long time.

Florida is (or at least was, maybe A&M jumped them) the 2nd best academic school in the SEC behind Vandy. Nobody recognizes UF as a good academic college (although it is, but it is looked at as a football factory) but there avg athlete SAT score for athletes is consistently higher than Michigan, which is a really good academic school. My point, other than your private schools, Vandy, Duke, Stanford, etc, most schools lower than academic requirements for athletes.

ESPN running with it has nothing to do with anything, It took them months to bring forth the Ohio State scandal for instance, despite the fact Dan Wetzel and yahoo blew that open, and even Clay Travis was reading Tressel emails on air about the situation, before ESPN started to remotely look into it.

This Auburn story might get interesting, it might not. Selena Roberts is the one who broke the story. She is also the one who broke the Duke Lacrosse story, and wrote about the Duke players as gang members being scared of snitching about the supposed rape. The problem obviously, was there was no rape for anyone to actually snitch on. She never apologized, has never admitted she was wrong. My point, this might be true, might not, might be partially true, who knows, but I will take another source other than Selena Robert's before I believe anything.

prosecutor Mike Nifong was the true evil character in the 'rape' story.

Even when that PoS knew the players were innocent and that the stripper had zero credibility he insisted on ruining lives too further his PC career. SR worked at the NY Times so therefore she has as much credibility as arsonist, child endangerer, murderer & bearer of false witness Crystal Mangum.

Actually, no. Not all major programs PAY players.

Almost all of them have perks. And cheat. But paying players? No. Sorry.

No. Sorry. I'm a little whiny ***** that whines about the state I live in but does nothing about it.

No one really knows what programs pay players or don't. And as I've stated, it's impossible to monitor 70 football players and the thousands of major donors that universities have. Who the hell knows if a donor is putting $100 in the pocket of someone after a game. If the player and donor never say anything then coaches/AD can think their program is entirely clean while in reality it isn't.

But we all know there is only one program in NCAA history guilty of covering up child molestation. And that program is from the BIG10 BIG10 BIG10.
The Hammer and GoT high five this.

and exactly 1 conference was so corrupt they shut down 1 program entirely and eventually blew the thing totally away. SWC
