Why is it common to alternate defensive linemen but not other defensive positions? Other than CB it would seem to be just as logical. Linebackers and safeties can get tired or dinged up and need a break. Especially a player who is often on the field on passing downs.

Having a couple of quality backups at the linebacker positions makes perfect sense not just because Colin has an injury history.

If we can sign spoon for little more than the vet minimum it would be stupid not to do it. He played hard last year and often while injured. He knows the defense and is a good vet guy to have around. I agree, sign spoon at least.
