With so many talking heads on tv and radio making their opinions known we need a thread to comment on them.

After all they get paid for their "expert" commentary and we get nothing for our comments here. Also what i noticed is that there is a laziness in a lot of analysis where they blurt out things that sound good, sound logical without bothering to be informed.

That was the case with Marshall Faulk yesterday on NFL network. In his commentary about the Colts vs Denver game he said this, paraphrasing......"Chuck Pagano's defensive schemes with the Ravens have given Peyton trouble in the past. Pagano knows how to game plan him."

FACT: Pagano was a D-coordinator for just one year in 2011 for the Ravens. That was the year Manning didn't play because of the neck injury. Peyton manning has never played against a Chuck Pagano defense! Manning did play against the Ravens in 2009 when Pagano was secondary coach.

The entire basis for Faulk's comments was wrong!

We see examples like this all the time. Jim Irsay is not an analyst but his comments about Peyton and comparing him to brady were also ignorant. Brady's career stats are just about as good as Peyton's.

Skip bayless and and Stephen a smith both make asinine arguments. Smith makes the arguments more tolerable but even him at times is just dumb. I prefer to listen to chris carter, tom jackson, and ditka, they really know football. Keyshawn Johnson is just another ahole too.

I give a radio a little more slack because he is there for a longer period of time and needs to shoot from the hip a little more. The guys on nfl network come on for brief clips to comment on a game or two and an issue or two and they need to be informed.

Pro football reference and football database are great sources for quick stats and information. We all have information just a click away so there is no excuse.

I never really listen to these guys and I find them quite annoying. I watch NFL Live with trey wingo, and Mark Shlareth. I also like Herm Edwards too, I didn't think he was terrible and he knows his sh** too

Faulk may have been touching on how all those Raven Defenses throughout the years Have looked alike. Or he could not know his stuff like youre claiming.

Has he ever made things up before..?

I can't remember exactly what he said but he has been off the mark a few times I have watched him on TNF. That was before I muted the tv due to mayock's annoying voice lol

Pagano had been a secondary coach for the Ravens prior to that so he did have a hand in all of those gameplans that have given Manning fits over the years.

It sucks that Ray Lewis ruined ESPN's pregame coverage.

We're going to hear a lot of out of date crap about our strengths and weaknesses during the game.

Just about every public venue, whether politics, sports, religion, whatever it is, peddles outright lies, half truths spins on a daily basis. It has become extremely difficult to sort through all it, looking for the truth on any subject. The best bet is to believe nothing. Even seeing is not believing anymore because by the time the pundits get through with it, you think you didn't see what you saw. or something like that.
