I like some of Gaga.

 

Or just one which bars acts that had a record before 1975.

 

I got no music guilty pleasures. I just got music pleasures. I like Martin Page, Seal, Go West.. all kinds of fruity stuff.

 

Has she even come out with anything in the past few years?

She's despicable, IMO.. Playing it up to be a total fame and attention whore, then all of a sudden acting like she's above it, once her act got stale. If she wants to be the outrageous crazy "artist," then that's her prerogative.. but now she's trying to have it both ways.

she'll be doing the gay bar music circuit in no time. She is like a more skilled and less obscene Miley Cyrus, IMO.

 

Dunno about all that...I'd just say she's maturing. She can't be a young pop star forever, and it's pretty obvious that she knew she didn't have the pop star looks, hence the extreme makeup and clothing. She has, however, always made it a point to show that she is actually talented.

 

Tomato-Tomahto.. Her novelty act wore off=her maturing. If people were still lapping it up, and if every 12 year old girl were calling themselves "little monsters" I bet she'd still be at it, being purposely outlandish, showing her (nice) butt cheeks off at every award show.



As a female singer, IMO, that is a Miley Cyrus level of pimping yourself out..

But her hand has been forced, IMO. The game has passed her by, and by age 30, she's already forced to reinvent herself, or get out of the game entirely... because she was all gimmick. Didn't have to be that way, because she literally is talented. But she's going to have to have a Justin Timberlake-like turnaround to ever shake her silly persona.

Personally, I think she's too theatrical.. She would be suitable on broadway or at the gay bar circuit, since the pop star thing looks like it's fizzled. Not sure how many "comebacks" one performer can pull off, because she's already had one or two, with the "born this way" Madonna ripoff. Madonna was less talented than Lady Gaga, but she didn't seem forced like Lady Gaga did... and Gaga seems like a pale Madonna imitation, IMO.

 

I'm guessing she's doing just fine as a songwriter with no need to even perform, much less theatrically.

 

And we'll do it next year to see how drastically different the outcome will be.
