I, unlike most people these days, am still a Linkin Park fan, but I gotta take STP. Might be a sweep.

At first listen I thought the new STP album was poor but it's a grower. Can't stop playing it.

Got an old fashioned sound to it.

STP without a thought against turds like Linkin Park.
The new STP is so slick sounding that it's lost a bit of their edge.. Wish they would have gone back to the "Tiny Music" dry sound.
As usual, half the record is good and half is a snoozefest.

I liked Linkin Park's first album but they dropped off with every subsequent album.

I forgot how good a base player Robert DeLeo is. Hazy Daze has an awesome base line. He plays it more like a rhythm guitar. With that distortion on Deans guitar I love it.

I agree it sounds a little too slickly produced. Hopefully they'll go back to Brendan O'Brien on the next one.
