Great video of Sanders highlights. Perhaps not the best ever, but he was a truly amazing and unique running back.

(I love the TD run against GB at 5:59)

awesome video. I didn't remember Sanders having that top end speed like he showed in the video. watching his runs it's interesting how he was able to make lateral movement work for him. not many back nowadays can get away with that.

Had he not re-signed with Detroit in 96' I think he'd be right up there with Jim Brown & 'Sweetness'.

Detroit has been a talent graveyard for decades now. That crap hole team broke his will.

I'd say he is still the best runningback ever, peterson will surpass him IMO, but for now, what Sanders did in the time he did it in, and on detroit, amazing.

I swear CJ plays just like that, look at some of Cj's College vids and youll see the same moves as Sanders.

I dont know if Cj will be like Sanders in the NFL cause he is easier to take down, but their moves do look alike.

CJ and Sanders are different animals. Johnson has better linear speed, which makes him hard to tackle and take angles on. He's also got better inside running skills then I think most realize. Sanders didn't have special speed, but he had incredible athleticism, particularly the balance he exhibited time and time again. His vision and patience plus his incredible balance after contact make him probably the best running back ever IMO.

Best ever. Gayle Sayers 2nd, Peyton 3rd, and Brown 4th. Peterson will never stay healthy enough to crack the top 5.

And CJ doesnt have near the shiftiness that Barry had. Barry looked like his ankles would touch the turf on his cuts. Unreal.

I just dont know how barry did it. I mean, I would twist my weak *** ankles on every play if I attempted to make those cuts. Damn I wish he played for a good team!
