Bennett Close to Signing with Rams

He did it for 2 years dude, and that's 3 years ago. The last two years he's been playing like chicken **** and he's dropped a lot of balls and made poor attempts at catching others. I've been missing the 2003 Drew for two years now. Don't let the door hit you on the way out Drew

 

So now what? I say go and sign Kevin Curtis, a better Drew Bennett IMO

 

Riiiiight. That's why the Rams are going to let Curtis walk.

 

Curtis is going to be almost as expensive as Bennett. More likely they go after either an older vet (McCardell, Horn, etc) or perhaps Kelley Washington.

 

You guys are fooled. Drew is not bad by any means, and really doesn't deserve your disrespect just because he has moments of decentness to semi-greatness mixed with moments of marginalness to disappointment.

He's overcome a lot of odds to be a starting WR in the NFL, and our situation at the position would appear even more abysmal without him. He's just not going to get what we paid Givens, though in retrospect, I wouldn't mind have giving Drew that contract now and passing on Givens.

Good luck if you leave Drew, and thanks for what you've done. Just don't beat us in a future Super Bowl, or stretch an extra few inches when the Rams need it against us.

 

Drew wouldn't be going to the Rams unless he was going to be a starter there. No point in going in to replace Kevin Curtis. Something must be going to happen with Isaac Bruce...or did something already and I missed it?

 

He's not a bad WR, but he's not worth the money he is going to get. The guy should be a successful #2 WR across from Tory Holt if the Rams do sign him. But he's not #1 material and he's not even a great #2.

 

He's had his shining moments. He will be missed but he can be easily replaced. Good luck Drew.

Drew will be good in St. Louis. Marc Bulger is a very good passer, Like Peyton Manning, he will make just about anyone he throws to good.
