Well that is an odd way of counting statistics, but that's how NFL.com does it.

No question Henry played his part, and I think he's perfect as a short yardage spell to Brown, but seriously Brown is the better back allround. Whether LenDale can replace either or both has yet to be seen.

The thing is, although Bennett had a decent game, if he would have made that catch on the first drive we would have invited old MO into the game. I think we would have scored on that first drive and been a little bit more inspired. Instead, he missed the catch and a collective "here we go again" was heard nationwide.

hold one. I'm going to stick up for Chris Brown here... In week one he did not draw the boo hiss from me. I was nodding my head and saying things like "good run" and "oh... be careful". Did he leave the game and somehow I not notice? I'm gonna run and get those rush/yards/average for the game. His invidulal stats I guess. I thought on impression he looked solid and made some good yards. If I didn't know any better I would have thought he was a durable back.;)

Duuuuuuude. He's A-ok last Sunday. We know we can't over work him but if we have him giving us THAT week in and week out, Work in a steady does of Lendale White. Travis is a decent third back and a good short yardage guy. He did what was asked of him. I've got no problems with Chris Brown's week one performance.

thats all fine and dandy, but when week three comes around and he limps off the field like the wuss he is, none of that will matter.

Hey, I'm the one that has been popping off about him. Just last week I said we should rest LenDale so we could manage with Brown's upcoming MCL injury. I just want to give him some kind of credit while I can. I want him out there every week and each week I want a decent long run and 4.0 average. 12 carry minimum. I wanted Travis Henry in the game. I was chanting, "Henry! Henry! Henry!" after that gift of a fumble recovery. I agree with you 100% in regards to Henry, and no, I'm not sure AT ALL sure that Brown would have scored on the plays Henry did. In the 2nd quarter Brown had 2 rushes for 0 yards. That should be enough to raise doubt in anyone's mind.

Funny how it's Henry who's on the official injury list for this weekends game as questionable.

If the two of them work all season together the way they did against the Jets I don't see how they can be criticised.

Each is carrying out a specific role & each has his strengths. Regardless of how many yds CB puts up or how many long runs he has the one thing he's shown he can't do is short yardage. We need them both together to act out the role of our all round back. On their own they both fall short of what we need.
