  1. Manningham, Sweed, or Mayo

My pick would have to be Manningham. He proved himself in Michigan in only three years and is by far one of the top recievers in the draft.

May is an amazing player and would fit well with the Titans defense but the Titans need a WR (look at several games from last year and see that we win at least 3 more games with a receiver who will catch the football)

I'm going to have to agree. Manningham looks ready, we need a franchise WR who can help us for years to come. We need Manninghams ability to catch, and his size on the field. Plus, Manningham would look pretty cool on the back of a Titans jersey. I hope our FO can come to their senses and pick this BA up. The fact that people are talking about Mayo is absolutely ridiculous. We have Fowler and Tulloch and they're both solid players. The last thing we need on this team is a MLB.

Going into the draft, our needs are obvious

    1 Round) WR
    2 Round) DT/DE
    3 Round) CB
    4 Round) OL
    5 Round) RB
and probably another reciever. With Blakeley being picked up, it looks like we won't go TE in the draft (or atleast on the first day)

of those three i'd say manningham.

  4. I have to agree with you for the most part. the one thing i might want to change is picking up a CB before a DT/DE. With the help of a WR who isnt afraid to catch the ball and maybe one more strong CB i dont see the Titans being short of the playoffs and possibly the AFC Championship game next season.

I will be suprised if we go WR in round 1. but If we do I like Hardy or D Jackson.

I'd take Sweed over Manningham he is bigger and faster and is just as proven. Too bad Sweed will not be available when the Titans pick.

  7. Not arguing with you on Sweed being proven but Manninham is a better reciever. Every expert has said Manningham will go before Sweed. Either will help the Titans and be our best WR by far if they play the way they did in college. I hope you are right about Sweed being gone because that means Manningham will most likely still be available.

Actually no one I've seen thinks Manningham will go before the 2nd round, infact some have said he might be around into the 3rd. I have not seen any draft that has sweed dropping out of the 1st. Most have him going to Buffalo, Washington or us in the 1st.

Here is what Matt McGuire had to say about Manningham
"I buried Mario Manningham in my previous mock because of his horrific combine in which he ran a 4.6 and interviewed poorly. Manningham redeemed himself a bit by running a 4.4 at Michigan's Pro Day, but I still say anyone who thinks he gets drafted in the first round is crazy".

This one has a nice little write up on sweed I guess I was right about fast tracks since Sweed shaved a tenth of a second off his 40 time in the Texas Pro day.

that's the problem right there. someone discards a player because of one bad workout, forgetting three years of which he outproduced EVERY ONE in a run first offense.
