Sergeant York is a great film. Howard Hawks only Oscar nomination was for that film.

Wow, a Teri Weigel reference on GoTitans. Bizarre.
Her most well-known non-porn stint would be Cheerleader Camp, where she boffed a balding and strangely dressed Leif Garrett

yeah the whole 'war' part of that movie is usually cut for 2 hour TV time slots.

I won't watch that movie on TV unless it's the Ecstasy of Gold finale scene.
The Blue Ray version is just epic. Tarantino would be making cartoons if he wasn't able to continually rip off Leone for source material and borrowed stylings..

IMO Saving Private Ryan offers the best combination of realism, acting and plot. Although Upham really ticks me (cowering on trhe steps) when he doesn't come to assist his buddy getting stabbed.

By the way I read there was a casting error in the film. The guy who stabs the soldier is not the same guy Upham convinced them to let go. That guy is regular army and the guy in the stabbing scene is SS. So when he shoots the guy near the end it isn't even the same guy who won the knife fight. SO it makes no sense he lets one of his buddies die and then kills this otehr guy.

Still, a great movie and one I'll continue to watch.
