    It's too early for the Jags to give up on him. What they need is a Hasselbeck-type of QB who can mentor the kid and step in and start when times are tough.

    Exactly. They should have brought in a vet instead of dive back into the draft for another rookie, IMO.

    He really only had one year (his rookie), then Warner took over. Once Warner was gone, and Lienart "learned behind a vet", he got the boot.

    The Cards coaching staff had four years to watch him at camp, practice, etc. He obviously wasn't showing them anything to indicate he'd ever be a decent QB.

    BTW, Warner is borderline HoF, IMO.
