"Of the 19 players who have graced the cover Madden games prior to this season, 17 have had troubling or abruptly shortened seasons following their cover debut -- including several who suffered season-ending injuries shortly after their game hit shelves."

The stars are aligning for us ....

Pats are the only power house in the AFC we would have to worry about if by some miracle we make the playoffs

now without Brady our path to the SB just got 42% easier

Pats are clear above everybody else in the league never mind in the AFC. Brady goes down the conference is up for grabs.

Singling out... we have to be better than SOOOOO many other teams to even make the Pats relevant.

You just don't like Brady. That's all.

What about the Steelers, Raiders, and Chiefs?

Wouldn't have to worry about those teams?

The AFC is pretty strong right now. I agree the Pats are pretty much the only team I'd give us no chance against. But we still have a ways to go to be thinking about a Super Bowl.

This time next year maybe we'll have a better feel for it.

Steelers, Raiders, and Chiefs all worthy teams, but like you just said, its New England then everybody else, Id rather take on the everybody elses than the 5x World Champs...

Has nothing to do with me not liking Brady. Should Brady go down and that's a big IF then the AFC is up for grabs. I'm not saying anything mind boggling. Are there other strong teams in the AFC, yes but I'd put this team up against any of those teams feeling confident. That's all I'm saying.

Of course, but it's not like if the Pats go down we have an easy path to the SB. Easier, yes. Still tough as hell no matter what. Unless you're the 08 Steelers. Easiest path I've ever seen.

Also the last time the stars aligned for us in 08, Brady was out for the year and Peyton lost in the first round. We followed that up by losing to a rookie QB and the evil Ravens.

I'd also throw the Ravens in that mix of teams. I expect them to compete for a playoff spot. And we all know they're our kryptonite.
