Other pics by Reese that people dont mention, cause they dont quite understand that no one hits on every draft pick

Jon Runyan, Mason, Holmes, Rolle, Olson, Long, Pillar, Roos, Stewart

Of course he sucked on some drafts and pics but show me a team who doesnt who had a 10 year tenure doing it.

    You got that right.

Ill take our record and stability with him here over ANY period we have had since. Most winning team in the NFL for quite a few years with him as our GM. He didnt mismanage anything, he knew exactly what he was doing and so did fans back when it was happening. He was trying his best to keep as much of the super bowl team together as possible.

We all knew the price was going to be paid eventually but no one was complaining when we were in the playoffs every year.

However...... dont bring him back, would rather see what we do with what we have.

Reese listened to what Bud said. McNair situation was about the contract, but was buds decision to keep him out of the facility. Reese was very open about not wanting to do that but when your boss tells you to do something, you do it or get fired.

Started off great, then started sucking.

That was back when there were "rumors' about Fisher wanting more power in personnel decisions. Dont think any of it was ever settled and the complete truth came out.

If we didnt do so well in the draft the past few years, id wonder if Reese was who he was the first half of his career here, or the 2nd half. I liked the first half, second half... not so much.

Remember how we bunch picked for certain positions and basically failed. By bunch picking i mean we took several players from one position often drafted together. Reese just could not draft a good CB or safety mid rd and he missed on a lot of Wrs also.

Moss in 98 and Witten in 03 were no brainer picks we should have made and in the best draft in modern history for defensive backs he drafted a worthless guy in the first rd with Woolfolk.

VY was not his fault and he allowed Fisher to talk him into LW and pacman.

the VY draft was an all lose situation.

Fisher pushed hard for Leinart, I think Reese wanted Cutler, and Bud wanted VY. Cutler made it out the best but would he even be here today?

Wasnt he responsible for Finny and Rolle? Dyson was also serviceable while he was here.

He also drafted D Walker so.....

    WR's, no doubt.....

Ill never forget the Odem/Laboy/Schobel (sp??) draft but they were doing everything they could to replace the loss of Kearse.

What I DO know is that the Titans were the most successful while he was here, but it was also clear that he lost his touch before leaving.

Travis LaBoy, Antwan Odom, Bo Schobel, Randy Starks and Jared Clauss in 2004. One of them left in the league.

Brandon Jones, Courtney Roby and Roydell Williams in 2005. None of them left in the league.

Eight draft picks wasted in two years. Darnell Dockett was drafted after three of those five defensive linemen and has been an All-Pro.

Cutler is arguably the worse of the 3.

Mentally stable and good enough not to warrant being cut or benched.

I think Roby is a returner in New Orleans.

and Starks is doing pretty well in Miami.
