    Exactly this. We would have to hear about WHY he was signed and then cut, yada, yada. It would be even worse than having to hear about every team needs to sign him, blah blah blah.

    He's not a good QB, had early success with Harbaugh has been trash ever since. He doesn't fit our system at all. Just because he is mobile doesn't mean he fits this system.

    Here's something I've not heard anyone mention...

    Based on the systems these QBs have experience running, which can learn enough of the playbook in a few days to come in and run the offense? I don't know Weeden's past systems but he's had to learn a few as much as he's moved around.

    Despite how it's assumed in this video, I don't see Mariota as an out-of-the-pocket, running QB similar in style to Kaep or RG3. Sure, Mariota's legs are a weapon but he's a pocket passer except for the few plays a game which are called runs.
