The Titans were without four players at Wednesday’s practice — wide receiver Kenny Britt (ankle), tight end Jared Cook (shoulder), middle linebacker Colin McCarthy (ankle) and guard Leroy Harris (knee).

Cook and McCarthy did some individual work on the side, but Britt did not.

“Cook is feeling better, getting a lot of his motion pretty much back,” Titans coach Mike Munchak said. “(We’re hoping) he’d do some drills tomorrow and then Friday start taking reps. It’s the same thing for Kenny. He’s progressing along pretty well. Because of the running and playing receiver, we’ll have to see how he does the next couple of days.”

Munchak said he’d hoped McCarthy would have been able to do a little more today.

“He’s running, and now it’s just a matter of how his ankle responds to a hard surface, on the ground, and cutting and that kind of thing,” Munchak said. “We’ll see how he is tomorrow after what he did today, see how much more he can do tomorrow … I’m hoping that maybe Friday he could do something. We’ll have to wait and see after today’s work.”

Harris had his usual day off, but should return for practice on Thursday.
