Broncos agree to four year contract with Champ Bailey

Good news for us in the draft as well. Patrick Peterson was slotted to go to the Broncos under the assumption that Champ would leave Denver. Now they may still take him but the chances of him falling to us at 8 look better now with this signing.

 

Yeah, there's a few points of view to look at this...
Since they have Champ they could draft Peterson for Champ to tutor him...
If they're not going to take that round... they'll go DT and may take Dareus or Miller ahead of us..
Best case senario for us is if they take Jones or Green if he's avaliable for us... pushing one more defensive player towards us...

 

peterson wont make it past cleveland....and i imagine aj goes to cincy given that they resign jonathon joseph(sp) and cleveland will take peterson to form a great cb tandem for years to come

 

Peterson could still go to the Broncos. Bailey is 30+ years old. Plus the Broncos safeties are horrible. Peterson could come in and start FS or CB2.

 

I don't think Cleveland would take Peterson... they just drafted Haden last year... They have other more important needs.

 

I would have loved to see Champ leave Denver. The guy deserves a ring, and I don't see him getting one with the Broncos.

 

Yea like real WR's. McCoy would do great I think if they drafted a big WR early.

 

I wish we had a champ bailey on our team. Quiet, stays out of trouble and dominates on top of a reasonable contract. He certainly loves Denver or I am sure he would not have stayed there.

Hope he gets his ring as well.

 

who would they take if green isnt there?? jones isnt good enough for a top 10 pick and why not draft one and they wont have to worry about corners, well the two starters, for the next 10 years.....very possible
