Jay Cutler's days in Denver appear numbered. The Denver Broncos' temperamental quarterback is about to receive his wish to be traded -- a request he made last month after getting angry that his name came up in trade talks. Team owner Pat Bowlen released a statement Tuesday night saying both he and coach Josh McDaniels had been unable to reach Cutler over the last 10 days.

I'm particulary unimpressed with how he handled the situation for the last several weeks. He just ignores their calls because he has his feelings hurt? BS.
I hope he goes to detroit so Schwatzie can deal with him.

 

No way in hell that is the first pick. The lions would offer their 2nd and something else and want to use the first pick to help improve the rest of the team.

 

I wouldn't be so sure. We are talking about the Lions organization.

 

What a mess. Cutler is looking more and more like VY through all of this, and McDaniels looks even worse. Glad I'm not a Broncos fan these days.

 

The Lions also have the #20 pick in round one (from Dallas). They will use that pick in a trade. Personally, I don't see why Denver would trade Cutler to Detroit, Chicago, or the Jets. They are going to need a QB in return and none of those teams have one to offer. I wonder if Denver would cut us a deal since we already sent them Simms? Maybe they'll give us Cutler for our first + Simms. (This was a joke, and only a joke. Please do not quote this and tell me how stupid I am)

It looks to me like he was ignoring all calls in order to force their hand and it worked.

It's ridiculous to see where Denver are now.They've gone from being a possible WildCard contender depending how the new HC pans out to being in full rebuilding mode.

McDaniels has set them back at least two years already from where they were at the end of last season.I have high hopes for this moron.He could be the next Del Rio calibre coach.

 

Why wouldn't Lions give their #1 pick for Cutler. If they are already planning to take a QB with the number 1, why not? Makes a ton of sense and would be a smart move.

 

Because they can pick up a franchise LT instead. Plus, I'm not sure that Denver wants the overall #1 pick and the money it will require to sign that pick.
