From what I saw this past year, our defense gave our offense plenty of opportunities! The offense stalled out waaaaay to much! Countless times, our defense held until a couple of huge plays by the opposing team killed the game for us. It's easy to place the blame on the defense ( and sometimes rightfully so), but at the same time, whos to say if our offense just would have scored one more touchdown, the losses would have been cut at least 2-3 games this year. Did our defense give up huge plays this year? Well sure they did, but as far as opportunities go, the offense screwed the pooch multipe times this year ( Loggains had a lot to do with it as well).

Yes the offense is important and yes or D bailed out our O on many occasion last year. The point is, a championship will not be won without a dominate defense. Our O can be the best in the NFL and we will fail without a dominate D. Just a Peyton. He gets slammed all the time for not winning enough in the post season. Guess what? He has never been supported with a top 5 D. Some one wrote on this thread that Locker was just as good as Wilson. Maybe so but the difference? He has a ring because of his supporting D.

I'm all for a nasty defense, heavy running attack, and supportive pass attack. Much like Seattle.

First, we need to keep Verner and Pollard. Then we need to go out and sign a NT and ILB. I would target Karlos Dansby & Cam Thomas.

Follow up with a defense happy draft:
    1st - Anthony Barr
    2nd - Stephon Tuitt

    Verner ---------- Tuitt - Thomas - Casey ------------- McCourty
------------Barr ---- Dansby -- Brown -------Ayers---------------
    ------------------ Griffin ----------Pollard --------------------------

I love that defensive depth chart.

Make Vick fight a pitbull while buried up to his neck in dirt. Let me stop by and dump a pile of ants on his head when the dog is done with him...

What this super bowl has showed us is a decent QB with a great defense will work ..
If locker can stay healthy or even a Qb that doesnt turn ball over like fitzy we can win ...
Lets get us some DEFENSE FOR ONCE...............

Beautiful, but also unrealistic. If that were to happen, we would need some major cuts to get that kind of $.
