Told me on a Southwest flight not long after the SD playoff loss that he'd play in NY in 2010!!

What would've been worse? - Not resigning him or cutting him midseason?

problem with keeping Bulluck would be Fisher not only starting him but letting him have significant snaps. He might or might not be a locker room plus in NY I have no clue, but he was becomming a locker roonm minus here.

My understanding is that the Lions are thrilled with KVB, but not so much for what he brings on sundays as for what he brings the other days. We all knew KVB was a locker room plus, but again Fisher would have diminished the DL by allowing him significant snaps on sundays.

As for Kearse he is done, too bad seemed like a good guy overall.

From what I've heard we still have great leaders on defense with McRath and Tulloch in particular, with Fishers love for vets I really doubt it would have let Bulluck leave so easily if he wasn't going to be replaced properly.

It'll be shame that Bulluck won't get a ring with us when we win the Superbowl this year. He gave a lot to this organization and we could have kept him for depth at the expense of peanuts.

But that's the nature of the NFL beast.

It's too early for this speculation, but if the Titans do win the Super Bowl, it would be a classy move for the organization to give him a ring anyhow in honor of how much he helped the franchise get to where it is (like the Colts did for Edgerrin James).
