I remember last year, some team had a bye week to open the season. Not sure about this year, but that's unfair.

  2. No NFL has had a bye week to open the season since the Texans started playing. Could you be thinking of college football?

We have three bye weeks. The Texans, The Texans, and the Bye. Unprecedented.

I am surprised they haven't added a second bye week to the regular season so it could stretch out one more Sunday. I bet the NBA would have a fit.

I definitely prefer a later bye, just for injury/recovery reasons, but I could see our early bye being a good thing. We opened with what looked like it would be 3 of the toughest games of our season, and we follow it with ATL, TB, HOU, OAK, CAR - all teams that you can't write off but are nothing like playing the top 2 offenses from last year. Win or lose against the Saints, a bye week to refocus before those games could be very good. The Panthers game is the midpoint of the season, and if the Titans are anything above 5-3 at that point they are in a very good position. Especially considering many saw us 0-3 at the bye - if we can be 2-1, and come out winning through that stretch it would be fantastic.

considering the stuttering of the offense at this stage, I think an early bye might be beneficial to us
