Cam Newton the next VY?

I was saying that when he was Newton was in college. Much like Vince, Newton is not used to losing, playing bad or having to deal with being anything other than a star. When they were playing well, winning rookie of the year, everything was good. The first time things go bad though and it is the end of the world. Add onto the fact that Newton has a schister father does not help. Will Newton's father be his ear the way various hangers on were in Vince's ear?

Hopfully, at least, we will not see this out of him

I put Cam ahead of Vince, Cam seems like he's got better everything than Vince.

Except for the fact that Vince has actually won games with a much less talented team!

Cams ears are too small to be a successful QB in the NFL.

Did you read the article? The Author was saying that Cam is NOT the next VY.

Not that I disagree with you. Whoever wrote the article seems to be a little bit of a Cam jock rider himself. I think Cam could very well be the next VY. Great rookie year, bad sophmore year, bad attitude/immature ... and there really isn't anything showing that he can read a D any better than VY could (as the author suggests). Sure Cam has thrown for more yards, but he also has better weapons than VY did in year 1 and 2, and they let him throw the ball 40+ times a game, something Fish never let VY do.

I think teams have figured Cam out, much like they did to VY. The only real difference could be that Cam is backed by his HC were VY was not.

So YES, Cam is the next VY IMO

I just don't see it... and I was one who said he would be the next VY before he took a snap in the NFL.

They are totally different players. Cam is way better than VY ever was.

He's already proven to be a far better passer and a far better rusher than VY ever was in the NFL. Some of the issues seem to be similar, but I just don't see any way Newton's career flops the same way VY's did.

Jamarcus Russell is a lot closer to VY than VY is to Cam, if that makes any sense.
