    Hey all,

I've wondered about this for years. Why don't any broadcast teams use a camera angle from behind the offense, like Madden? The stadiums have the wire systems to have cameras suspended over the field, so the hardware should be there. It's annoying watching the broadcast angle and not being able to see routes or the defense down field because it's out of the frame.

Is there a reason they don't use this angle? Have they ever done it in the past that I'm unaware of?

    Curious of everyone's thoughts...

You get this POV in the All22 game pass feature. Not full field width tho. More about the trenches and fronts, alignments

You can find CFB games that are aired in this POV but I've never seen it available in the NFL besides on NBC Sunday night games online. Not even sure if they still allow it.

It's a pretty interesting POV to watch from tho. Favorite thing is to do a mental game calling out the front/alignment shade/Coverage

Because if you're team isn't on offense, you'd ***** about that view... imagine having to watch the Colts' offense from that view, but not really be able to see our defense very well...

That's a good point. I'd love to see sports be broadcast in 3D. Lol

A buddy of mine watches games on a 12 foot projection screen with surround sound, feels like you're on the field.

Also- have you ever sat endzone at a game?

Similar issue- you have zero depth perception from behind the O.

5 yard gains will look like 15 yard gains and vice-versa.

My thought was the camera would be high enough that you'd still see how the play processes for the defense. In my mind anyway lol

The networks have the systems (cables, camera, controller, etc...) not the individual stadiums. So....It's up to them to use them or not.
