After throwing for 5,477-yards and 55 TD's Peyton Manning says he's still recovering from his 2011 neck surgeries.

Thats a scary thought considering he became the NFL's highest single season passer, all while rehabbing his neck.

I highly doubt he gets better ... that was a once in a lifetime type of season for him. I doubt he repeats it.

If Drew Bree's can have four 5000-yard seasons, I bet Manning can have his 2nd.

Sure its possible ... But I don't think he will get better like you asked (meaning 5477+ yards and 55+ TDs)

Plus if it took manning this long to post 5k yards, then what makes you think he will repeat?

I feel like he took a lot of teams by surprise at the beginning of last year. No one thought he would come back and play 100%. Then he and Denver went on a roll. I expect them to be good again this year, but not as good as last.

Teams had 2012 to judge Peyton on, it was 2011 that he missed.

Im just saying, he's still not at 100% from the surgeries but was able to turn in a 5k season. Seems like theres no stopping a fully healthy Peyton Manning.

Ok ... I guess I kinda worded that wrong lol ... I don't think teams thought peyton would EVER completely come back. So when he took the league by storm last year, I think it was still somewhat of a surprise that he could still be better than ever

However I don't think he tops his season last year ... My reasoning is that he has never done it before, even when healthy. So the likelihood of it happening again is pretty slim

He's not a god. I doubt he's going to magically get even better at 38 years old. I'd actually be less shocked if he has a major dropoff this season than I would if he had the best season of his career. Many times QBs just "lose it" all of a sudden. And he's already pushing it age-wise. I don't care what his name is. Age catches up with everyone.

Is Peyton really 38? I thought he was 35 or closer to mid 30's..
