I think he's paid his debts. He's taken all the drug tests and answered all the hard questions.

Depends on how firm the Cardinals plan to be in their "no guaranteed money" stance. I wouldn't take a deal with zero guaranteed money. And I don't think he should either. I realize he's had his issues. But we're talking about a 3rd round contract FFS. And IMO if you aren't comfortable enough with the risk/reward of the situation you shouldn't have drafted the guy in the first place.

But I think the Cards will back off and a fair deal will get done.

Dumb@!#es shouldn't have drafted him in the first place if they act like that. he would have made a great 5-7th round pick. if you draft him in the 3rd round, you have to compensate him like a 3rd rounder.

He went on national television mere moments after he was drafted and said he'd be willing to take weekly drug tests. The guy is a complete idiot. He voluntarily gave away all his leverage. His agent must have had a heart attack.

Weekly drug tests doesn't mean he doesn't get compensated as a third rounder tho. That's just not even worthy of discussion. Drug tests or NOT.
