Carridine coming off the injury had a better 40 time than Werner had with healthy knees. Werner's 40 time is a major concern for anybody picking in the first 20 picks.

Remember 2 drafts ago when Robert Quinn and Ryan Kerrigan were the 2 top 4-3 DE end types. Not counting Watt who was in a completely different inhuman category.

Both Quinn and Kerrigan weighed 265 and ran sub 4.70 40s. Werner is not that caliber a prospect.

Werner is trash, we better not take that guy. I'll be madder than hell if we do.

I'd love Tank, but I see him going late 1st now. He was a Top-10 pick before his injury, easily. I'd be thrilled to get him with our 2nd rounder.

If we were to make a trade with the vikings for the 23rd and 25th picks i would take Tank and Datone Jones with those 2 picks and we would be set on the d-line for many years.

Tank could be an 8-9 sack a season guy on the outside while playing solid against the run and Jones could be a 4-5 sack guy from the inside while being a solid play maker against the run.

2 excellent football players not just edge rushers. You could never have too many guys like that.

My favorite mock draft scenarios have involved trading down in the first to land an extra second, then landing Carradine and Hayden with the two 2nd rounders. Now in the last week prior to the draft both DJ and Tank are getting hyped... pretty much screwing my dream draft scenario.

I like the idea of trading with Minni and getting Carradine and BPA with picks 23 and 25.

My dream for that scenario would be to land Desmond Trufant & Tank Carradine w/ our 1st, follow up with Larry Warford in the 2nd.

Rumors is Rams are willing to trade their 2nd 1st round pick (No 22). If Tank is still on the board at No 22 (and we don't go DE @ 10) I think we need to make a move on this.

Would they accept our 2nd and 3rd for No 22?

    1st - DT or CB
    1st (22) - Tank
    3rd (C) - RG/C
    4th - LB

    yes please

That would mean the Rams getting just a 3rd for moving back 18 spots. They would want more than that. Probably would have to add next years third to get that deal.
