the point was that the Ish has 'recommended' a course of behavior for AJ
and that the Ish has the ultimate decision on whether or not AJ becomes qualified to be re-instated.

therefore if he cares about a career in professional football, then he should heed the words of the one who holds the gold

btw, all I did was quoted and exerpt from an article - don't read between the lines or assume I made a statement if I didn't

He can go where he wants and do what he wants, I dont think thats a big deal. But, why give the interview? Whether it is justified or not, giving an interview under the circumstances was going to do nothing but bring more press. And press with Pac seems to be bad press 9/10 times.

Since the Goodall judgement, I had sensed a bit of sympathy towards Pacman out there. A great opportunity for some positive public relations.

But he clearly doesn't understand how perception plays into this or he'd be visiting some kids talking about making good decisions in life, staying in school, etc. He could have just layed low for a while and allow those he pays big money to to handle things.

Instead, he's hanging in Tunica talking about how he is the poster boy which does nothing but tick off the man who he has to go to get back in the league at some point. How stupid can you be?

Let's face it, folks. Pacman isn't smart and hasn't surrounded himself with people to advice him well or refuses to listen to them.

Exactly. I dont think going to a boxing match is a big deal at all, but I see no reason to why he goes out of his way to broadcast it to the country, and complain about the ruling at the same time. The best thing for him to do is disappear for a year. If he wants to go back to school, he needs to go. If he wants to go to boxing matches in Tunica, thats fine with me. But, why does he feel the need to let everyone else know this stuff? He would be much better suited trying to stay out of the media completely until this is over. Basicallly, giving the interview is what I have a problem with. It shows he either doesnt understand what is going on, or he is not taking it seriously. Either way, it doesnt leave me with much optomism that he will be able to get through this suspension.

How does voicing his opinion show he doesn't understand?

He isn't allowed to have a say now?

Of course he is. Do it through the appeals process. Why the need to bring more media attention on to yourself? It seems pretty obvious he either doesnt understand or doesnt care.

How does it show he doesn't understand?

Everyone expresses themselves through the media these days.

Gunny, with all honesty, if you think going out of your way to give interviews at a boxing match in a gambling city, while during the interview complaining about the suspension you just received, is the best way to get back in favor with both the league and the media, then you are simply wrong. His suspension stems from his inability to control himself in these types of places. So why then go out and broadcast to the league that you are still hanging out there? I have no problem going to the match, I just dont see why he feels the need to let us all know about it.

I don't think he is trying to get in favour with anyone.
