I don't see it happening. Unless we go to a 3-4 defense all the sudden over the offseason, which is doubtful. We really don't have a place for him unless they moved thorton inside to play the middle. In that case we wasted money on that LB from Dallas we just signed. Also it would waste the potenial that tulloch brings to the table.

 

Yeah we don't need him he is strictly OLB like Thornton and Bulluck and neither of them are movin.

Why would we even want him?

 

June is a very small linebacker (less than 215 lbs) and would never hold up in a 3-4 defense...

OLB in a 3-4 need to be bigger not smaller. June is no fit for any 3-4.

The only position june can play in our defense is weak side. That would mean moving bulluck inside. While the prospects of having that kind of speed with thornton, bulluck and june is interesting, even exciting they are not going to mess with moving bulluck to another position.

There is also the financial commitment to the linebacker position. bulluck and thornton combined account for 10% of the cap limit; now add fowler's $3M a year pay package and there isn't room for another big contract.

The only need at OLB now is depth if they are not sure nande and woods are up to par which is why they are talking to barber. Thankfully this is one position we are set at..
