    Well...

Statistically speaking, it's hard to guess how any RB would fare given 50-60 carries the previous season. However, he has excellent size and doesn't have a history of injury problems from when he did get a good chunk of carries in college. However, these are ONLY factors...not determinant of any outcome.

The negatives are questions. His worth ethic? How much is he not playing due to being out of shape, lingering injuries, or not being able to earn more carries? His attitude?

I mean, with VY being a fellow rookie, playing a harder position, having a TON more to learn and being MUCH more publicly exposed/criticized, how is White not right there drinking the VY koolaid???

If I were the Titans and I could get my hands on Portis, I would. Benson would also be a good consideration based on his expense/talent...however that would require some checking of the personality. We don't need any more headcases.

As I've said, the Titans should really get White at least one start this year and get him 20-25 carries and see how he responds. I think that's important in guesstimating what we'll have for next year.

PS - I think White has looked good so far. He especially impressed me vs Dallas. We looked tentative until LW came in and started blasting in to the defense. He changed the tone and that's what you look for in a big back. He dished out some punishment. Can he do that for a full season as the feature back? I have a feeling we'll find out!
