we have white and VY and hall............no running game is your pipe dream.............considering CB has stayed in moth balls all yr is proof positive it was a dumb move............just like bringing in Collins and trading Volek were dumb moves.

Let's say CB runs like it's 2004, is very effective, and stays healthy down the stretch here....

Do the Titans offer him a contract, and keep three potential starting RB's? Or are they too leery of CB's injury history?

Would CB be willing to stay, knowing that he won't be "the guy"? Or is that bridge already burned?

CB would never sign it............you dont have to worry............the way Fish and Chow lied to him about competing was BS...............he has been benched because of what his agents tried to pull in TC...........he was blackballed..............he'll be elsewhere even if he runs for 250 each game the rest of the way....................only way he stays if we tag him...............for 6.5 mil..............Not a chance in hell that is happening.

    BigT...

Bongo's on the mark. We needed to pick one guy by game one to run with (and White backing him up) and trade the other guy. And frankly, I would have traded either to the highest bidder.

I like both players a lot. Brown IS a homerun hitter and an excellent pass blocker. He's also injury prone and would be best in a backup role.

Henry is a beast. He can break tackles and really get you that extra yard when you need it. He's had fumbling issues during his career and his substance abuse violation doesn't make me feel as confident in him being a feature back.

Plus, we drafted White to be the feature back and he's showed flashes of his steamrolling ability. But can he stay healthy?

But lets assume we traded Henry and kept Brown. Brown gets hurt and White plays more but is also out for stretches. So Nash gets some significant carries. Would we have then missed out on the playoffs? Let's even suppose it cost us 2 of our 6 wins (a serious stretch). It doesn't REALLY hurt us in the short term (a couple fewer wins) and it DOES help us in the long term (with a draft pick...not to mention picking higher in the draft).

    So what was the downside?

    He won't be back...

He's not durable enough to tag nor offer starter money. He'll want starter money based on his 1100 yds in 10-11 games. And would you wanna sign where you've basically been dropped to 3rd on the depth chart, won't get starter money, won't even be active unless someone's hurt and your football lifespan is very short?

    Heck no!

The ideal circumstances for CB (in his mind) are go to a place he can start, get the big bucks, and be on a winning team. Only the last part might be true for the Titans as a situation but after the trade 'talk' stuff, Reese probably just wants him out.

But again, we'll be letting talent walk out the door and getting nothing for it!

Just one more reason Reese has got to go!!!

who is hurt now..............Henry not Brown. Henry gets nicked alot too................We need another back next yr..............in my view.

moreover benching has cost us huge...........he'll never get a respectable deal because he has no numbers since 2004.............so in comp picks the deal they sign takes their new deal in terms and length into consideration in giving compensation...............it was DUMB not to dump him and that is on Fisher and Chow..............cause they wanted to keep him for some strange reason.

  8. I'd like to add a 3rd down back who would be a big threat in the shotgun formation with VY. Start LenDale, though...

i am totally with SK on that...........we need a guy like Meggett, RHarmon MJD or Larry Centers................even more than we need a WR.................look at what McNabb has done with Westbrook................and he has trash for WR like we do.
