Both Mike Mayock and Mike Lombardi have come out in the past day or so and said this guy is the best defensive player in the draft.

    What the hell?

Mayock said he CAN be the best player. Talking more of his upside than anything. If they guy is half the athlete his brothers are, he'll be very good.

I just don't get this love for Jones, he's had a total of 10 sacks in 33 games!!!

His brother Jon "Bones" Jones must have been making the rounds, calling all of these commentators threatening a beat down if they don't promote Chandler, lol.

He looked amazing against West Virginia. Every other time I saw Syracuse, I don't think I noticed him.

Of course that means that I noticed him one more time than Dontari Poe.
    1 people high five this.

The team Jones played for was terrible and was always playing from behind, in those situations their isn't a opportunity to rush the passer. Every defensive lineman has some flaw, question mark, or concern about some aspect of his game. Its to the point of putting every defensive lineman in a hat and draw a name, us as fans only know what we remember seeing, read, or hear. The scouts did their homework hopefully we pick the right one.

It isn't so much that he didn't make a ton of great plays, it is that he seemed like he had no idea what to do.

I never watched him play but that is the defense the scouts are giving him, so I wouldn't even know. It just seems every prospect just has upside no one is a stud.

He needs to put about 15-20 lbs if he wants to play in this league. He plays way too high, and won't be successful if he doesn't fix that.

I do however see him being a big time playmaker in the future.

But, to say he is the best defensive player in this draft is absurd..
