Okay, so I am all for changing the logo. But there is a bigger need for a new mascot. So if the team is the "Titans" how in the world did they come up with a raccoon as the mascot?

And if you are going to go with an animal why choose a scavenger rodent most consider a pest and associate with going through their trash in the middle of the night.

The team is the Titans. Can we not come up with something better than a starving raccoon for a mascot? With the popularity of fantasy stuff these days we should be able to come up with a mascot that will be the most popular in the league.

Example from Season 2 of The Simpsons showing how society views raccoons:
Ned Flanders: So, recycling is just our way of giving Mother Earth a great big hug!
Mr. Burns: Yes, well, it does sound delightful! I can't wait to start pawing through my garbage like some starving raccoon!

Its the state animal of Tennessee. That is why they picked it. I dunno why your bitching about it. Easily the team MVP for the past 3 seasons. Without his sideline antics and joy through the worst of times, Scarecrow would have hung himself years ago.

I am sure Scarecrow would be just as convinced not to kill himself watching the antics of a mythic Titan :p

mascots are stupid anyway, who cares.

They matter in college, not at all in the NFL. they're a side show for children when the game is too boring.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, a raccoon is a moronic mascot. Especially when we're the TITANS and could have a really badass greek god type mascot. On the other hand, T-Rac runs over opposing players with a golf cart. What other team gets that kind of production from their mascot?

A Greek Titan could run over opposing players with a chariot.

I do think a raccoon is silly for a team called the Titans, but I like T-Rac, he can stay.

Have any of you thought the players themselves are the Titans mascot?

What should we do, copy the Steelers and have some cartoon version of our team name? You want a Steely McBeam Titans version?
