Better odds than with mid-round QBs, that is for sure. But still not good. Certainly not 1-1. More like 1 in 5.

We drafted projects with insane physicals as if we were ever good at developing players. As if.

IMO, in the RB position, Drafting someone based on pure tangibles is a bad move. See Harper and Henry.

As long as they are an NFL caliber athlete, their motor, vision, and how hard they run are the things these scouts should be looking at. A lot of the good RBs today are not the biggest and strongest ones out there. Jones Drew put up quite a career being unspectacular in just about every physically measurable department. But of course, there is the risk of bombing out with any position.

We did the exact opposite with Ringer as we did with Harper and he sucked too.

very true. There was never even a glimmer of hope for Henry or Harper though, regardless. They were horrible in every aspect of the position. Henry is one of the more laughable high picks in recent NFL history. He didn't even belong near an NFL roster.

he was not great, that's true. He definitely had a better career than Harper and Henry combined.. plus being slowed by injuries. There are definitely mid rounders that don't pan out.. But harper was an extraordinarily stupid case, as he never even started a full season in college, then decided to declare as a Jr.

Stinkin loser. Ringer is just a mid-late guy that didn't pan out but had the heart. Reinfeldt should be smacked for the Harper and Henry picks.
