I was reading this article about CJ and how motivated he is, and it got me thinking. The trend with running backs that rushed over 2,000 yards is a down season, but eventually followed up with rebound seasons. The question is, with a motivated CJ, what are our expectations for rushing yards? He hasn't ran the same since his 2,000 yard season. Is this a rebound season?

Nonetheless, it is encouraging to hear that he isn't just motivated by money. He cares about his legacy. It bothers him that he isn't being talked about among the best backs in the league right now.

I expect 1200-1300 yards, but Munch seems like he wants to pound the rock often, so I wouldn't be surprised to see more.

I think if we see 1400 or more that would be amazing. I'm predicting 1200Ishtar.

I'm going to say 1000-1200 rushing, because I am really hoping there will be 600-800 receiving added to that.

I am giving CJ the benefit of the doubt. He has had 3 good years and 1 bad (where he still had nearly 1500 total yards), which came after a very crazy off-season, a hold out and the worst blocking he has experienced in the NFL.

I guessed 1200 - 1300. Won't be the most he's ever gotten, but I think the coaching staff is really wanting to make this a "pass 1st" team. I think that will keep CJ's total yards down, but I think he will be a lot more effective.

I'm going to say around 1,300 yards. That stat goes up to around 1,500 yards if Locker gets the start.

I don't doubt that he cares. It's what he's willing to do about it. According to Munchak, he's putting in a ton of work. Will it pay off? You're right. He has to walk the walk. He does seem pissed that he's not among the best RB's now. He's already paid, but he's angry. To me, that's encouraging.

I'm going to predict his hard work pays off despite insignificant changes on the O-Line, and he gets over 1400 yards this season. With what I expect to be a heightened passing attack, I believe that is a good number. What do you predict?
