Im big on Christmas stuff too, but Im strictly a late November to mid January kind of guy, after Jan 15th all that stuff is down and Im counting the days til spring..

Last year our lights got left out longer than I wanted, just too cold and snowy to be on a ladder, but its special when you have kids... I do it for my kids not so much me

pulling in the driveway just as the lights come on really cheers you up

 

I don't decorate at all

 

I didn't much til we moved into a house last year

once you have a place with space thats yours... Its easier to get into

storing that stuff is a pain, but its all worth it

cause up here the first week of November is pretty cool so youre already thinking Christmas by then

plus nowadays every retail chain has stuff out for sale as early as today... so its hard to ignore it all

 

I'm not risking falling off a ladder and breaking my neck to put up some silly lights.. then do it all over again to take them down in 2-3 months.
