If you're starting a professional football or basketball team, which guy do you pick to build your franchise around, and why?

Sure he could, but he doesn't. Very good point though.

Patriots former WR Troy Brown sometimes switched to CB. When C.J. eventually falls apart from being a RB, I could see him putting in time at CB. That was what he'd have become if he went to any other school other than East Carolina.

They're both 3 seasons into their professional careers, and are both as dynamic as they come. Idk which to rock with, that's why I'm asking you guys. No love for our guy C.J.?

You can build a team around D Rose... When you build a team around a Running back... you get a guy with 2500 yards.... and a 8-8 record.. every season. 15 years ago, I would have given CJ some love but the running back position is largely replacable and irrelavant in todays NFL.

But C.J. is a rare find. There are a dozen Derrick Rose's in the NBA. Just a few years ago Chris Paul of the Hornets was a Derrick Rose, as was Steve Nash. It's a toss up for me until one wins a title.

    Rose.

He'll have a much longer career, and will actually put his team in place to contend for a ring.

CJ is replaceable. Mostly a product of great blocking- and he proved that this year with his dramatic fall-off.

I think it's harder to contain a guy like Rose. He's going to get his pts regardless.

but then again, this is comparing basically a QB to an RB. Not really fair.
