Chris Johnson set for surgery

He's a new coach, he's just asked about cj because he's the most popular titan. He's going to sit down and talk about every player.

 

Wisenhunt also said he first watched the OL and DL when he started breaking down film/evaluating the roster.

So if he thinks the OL did well in run blocking, CJ is gone.

 

We did pretty well in that department, it was pass blocking that held us back a bit

the only guy who really sucked all around was Dave Stewart, but that why we ran left more than right.

The game against Arizona is very telling. By that point in the year the blocking was significantly better than early in the year. Rob Turnstyle was no longer starting, Andy Levitre and Chance Warmack were playing much better. However you see there that had six negative gains in a row.

 

Arizona also had the #1 rush defense in the NFL

 

Just because the blocking got better doesn't mean it was good.

True. However, the blocking was significantly better than in 2012. But CJ's production declined.

 

Agreed. Schwenke was hurt, apparently-so was Levitre, and Stewart was just plain terrible. That being said, I still think CJ didn't run hard in 14 of the 16 games basically, and that he does go down on first contact too often, and dances too much. The line should be significantly better this year, so why NOT unload his salary, age, and unwanted desire to play in TN, and get a young stud to groom and produce...

0 Running backs over 4 YPC... Blocking was better?!?! 3.9, 3.8, 3.9

Best rusher we had was Fitzmagic when they were pass protecting... The line was terrible last year.
