Chuck Pagano is Indy's new HC.

That's a GREAT hire! I wish we would have made waves like this instead of hire internally/ from oilers lineage

 

Time will tell. One year as Ravens DC and they played well but DC's come and go and it doesn't have much of an impact on the performance of the team.

Can't blame him for taking the big payoff, given his age and fact that it's likely his last shot.

 

Dammit. It is a good hire... which sucks.

I wanted them to hire that scrub AFL, CFL, UFL, or whatever who gives a sht league the guy they interviewed was from.

 

I was really hoping they would hire Tressel

 

No one knows if this is a good hire until 3 years from now.

He took over Greg Mattison's defense. Sorry, but I myself could have looked good coaching guys that have already been taught by one of the best DCs the NFL has ever known. Hell the players out there probably know more about the X's and O's than Chuck did.

 

They had one of their worse years with Mattison, he was not a good DC.

Jack Del Rio. Marvin Lewis. Mike Nolan. Rex Ryan. Mike Singletary. Mike Smith.

All 6 men were formers Ravens defensive coaches who eventually became Head Coaches.

All 6 have 5 total career playoff victories (4 by Rex Ryan), and 0 Super Bowl appearances.

Chuck Pagano has history going against him.

 

Anyone that discards Mattison as a DC has no f'ing idea what they're talking about.

None taken. Look it up yourself; top 3 defense every year except the year Grandpa Mattison was the DC.

What worries me about losing Pagano is that he may take Clarence Brooks or Pees with him... that would sting.
