So you're gonna judge someone based on how they talk and express themselves when you have no idea what the guy is really thinking. Thats especially wrong when you dont know the guy personally!

I said "people" see it that way. Wrong or right, that's how it is. I like AP more because he doesn't talk so much, and he has the reputation of a hard worker. CJ does not.

See thats where the media has given you a wrong image. He talks just as much when things go bad. Watch his press conferences after losses!

Also who says CJ isnt a hard worker? He has never came into camp over weight. He came into the season a little out of shape but who wouldnt if they missed entire training camp and most of pre season!

Did anyone actually hear the radio interview?

C.J. said his mind is focused not on 2000-yards, but making the playoffs. And yea C.J. is a me first guy, but all the great skill players are.

By C.J. redirecting Jim Romes 2000-yard question back to be about the playoffs tells me he's also a team guy. He said if he gets 2000 again it'll be because he's on a playoff caliber team.

Perfect example of how the media and ppl on here can turn stuff against certain players! The media is evil. If I was a professionally athlete I would not answer in questions about my individual goals ever.

Then you wouldn't find yourself on many radio shows.

I really don't mind CJ giving these sound bytes, in 20 years it'll all make for a good documentary on the first guy to reach 2k twice (assuming he does it).

I mean if you look at who paved the way for CJ in 2009 it wasn't as impressive a group as we have today, he may break the record because of who we have now.

CJ did mention that he wanted to go to the playoffs ... I imagine the interview went like this:

Rome: "Cj, can you get 2000 yards again?"

CJ: "Yeah I think I can still do it, but I haven't been to the playoffs since '08. I really want to get back to the playoffs"

Rome: "How do you feel about the Greene signing?"

CJ: "I didn't like it at 1st, but I've come around. You don't want to leave the field ever, but the FO wants to be run first, so Greene could help keep me fresh"

Rome: "Greene will probably take some TDs away from you ... would you rather have 20 TDs or 2000 yards?"

    CJ: "I'd rather have 2000"

You can take all that and say "CJ says he can get 2000 yards, and doesn't care about TDs" ... when really a lot of those questions were leading him to give specific answers. He did start the interview by trying to deflect from the 2000 yards, and saying that he hadn't been to the playoffs in a long time and wanted to go back, but of course all Rome cares about is the 2000 yards, not whether CJ makes the playoffs so that is where he is going to steer the conversation.

Our scheme was different then too. Now we have a zone scheme which he is not as good in.

Instead of building the team around our best player we are building it around an unproven injury prone QB.

The thing is C.J. realizes Greene will steal some TD's, and he's come to terms with that, so saying he'd chose the 2000-yards over the 20 TD's is just C.J.s way of dealing with the reality we're now a 2 RB team.
