umm Rondo would tear him up, he would just rebound his misses with his size advantage and put it back in, he's one of the best rebounding guards in the league. Doesn't matter though because theirs no way CJ is staying in front of him, Rondo's got enough moves to get by plus he's stronger so he could just post him up all day.

It's not hard to beat someone 1 on 1 when they have no jumpshot. As long as theres no ref calling ticky tack fouls it would be closer than you think..

i agree with most of what your saying except the stronger part.

1 - these athletes (ie NFL/NBA in general) are all physical specimens for their body weight; so generally to say the one who weighs more is stronger is usually correct. here johnson has a 30lb advantage and like u said shorter (more compact).

2 - he plays a much more physical sport; RB face every Defensive position, whether blocking or running they face: linemen most (arguably the best overall athletes in NFL), backers, saftys, and cbs.

on seperate note - was looking at some numbers. Jared Cook ran a faster 40 than Britt - i did not know this or maybe i did and forgot hahahah; sure by .06 but faster is faster. regardless, britt looks fast; but i wonder what a stronger/faster cook can do in the second level?? Will we finally see him more prominently in Indy? Those screen passes that Bo gets all the time; Cook should be a recipient of a couple - with a block or two this guy could take it all the way

this guy needs to give us more really and fast; GUYS THIS DRAFT IS VERY DEEP (from what i read one of the deepest in a while meaning more 1st round talent will slip into the 2nd) AND THIS GUY COST US THAT 2ND

Ringer showed promise early of being a guy capable for short yardage. the titans should have tried to trade lendale for a 2nd or 3rd to try and salvage it prior to the season - use his 'getting back into shape' for our benefit - im sure some SB chasing team would have taken a chance.

how is CJ going to score on Rondo though? Rondo is a pretty good defender, I can't see CJ shooting over his long :grrr::grrr::grrr: arms and since has to dribble the ball I can't see him getting past him that way either. And like I said Rondo is an excellent rebounder, so CJ has pretty much just one shot per possession.

I thought this thread was about the race? Saying CJ can score on Rondo 1 on 1 is like saying Rondo can beat CJ in a race. Not going to happen. Anywayz, i've been a big Celtics fan for years, I pretty sure Rondo would lose this race. Dont act like its a blowout cause we havent seen Rondo run full speed for 40 yards or more.
