If you were GM of the Browns what moves would you make with free agency and first 2 rounds of draft picks to turnaround the franchise asap?

Fun to think about now that our franchise isn't in that spot anymore!

Ill play along cause why not

1st - Keep Terrell Pryor at all costs. Hes their prototypical WR and should only improve in his 2nd year in that system. Theyre also not going to find any better in free agency or the draft.

2nd - Find a new Center. We all saw what a difference Ben Jones made for us. Cleveland has been using a Tackle they drafted to play Center and hes terrible at it.

3rd - Draft Myles Garrett #1 overall. He's an ideal piece for the Browns defense, and pass rushers like that dont come around often.

4th - Trade the 12th overall pick for Jimmy Garoppolo. He's head and shoulders better than anyone in this draft at QB and is primed to go now, theres no lost time like there would be with a rookie.

Im sure thats nowhere near enough to turn the Browns around but its a start.

I'll play along because I can do better than Cody :p

    1. Agree with his first two points on Pryor and Cneter
    2. 33rd pick should be enough to to get Jimmy G
    3. Trade down out of the first spot and take Jamal Adams with their first pick and the best CB available with the next pick. The Browns are not too bad on the DL, and beyond useless in the secondary outside Joe Haden
    4. Grab another CB and S in the middle rounds
    5. Package picks to move up where appropriate -- the Browns have a ton of picks, as they did last year

IDK, I think Houston might try making a play for Jimmy with the 25th overall pick, theyre only a good QB away from locking the AFC South up (in their minds)

as a person in control of the browns logic would dictate that i trade the first two picks for brock osweiler and jj watt and then sign brandon marshall to a max contract

    yes 100%

But Osweiler is on the books for $19M and wont be cut, its simply too expensive to go after another FA QB again this year. So trading for the one guy with a super cap friendly number makes sense.

Plus Bill OBrian has the ties to New England, Belichick knows he cant keep Jimmy past this year so why not do an old friend in the AFC South a favor...

Pats get more than what they spent on Jimmy, and Houston gets their missing piece for cheap.
