We will see if his legs hold up----I mean hamstring issues over the next few years or knee issues. It is the one thing I do not care for about mobile QBs- leg injuries. He deserves the contract, and is exciting to watch. He is also surrounded by a championship level team on both sides of the ball. If he stays healthy, they will make noise- and they got Hyde too-------------------

    That's a lot for a running back.

Quite similar to Russell Wilson's situation huh? I agree with you though, he does not read a defense, he looks at his first read if unopen he scrambles. When you have that kind of run game and defense it sure makes you look a lot better than you really are... cough, cough, Russell Wilson.

The old saying is very true; Quarterbacks get too much credit when the team wins and too much blame when the team loses.

watch how this contract will kill the 49er's in just a few years. You cannot pay the qb that much of the cap and it not take its toll on your team. Manning, brady, rogers, and brees I can see it but Kap, romo, ryan, flaaco, stafford, and eli manning are not those guys but are being paid like they are.

Its not as big a contract as it appears, he's highly unlikely to hit every incentive need to reach the full value of the deal.

Also, with the ever growing salary cap, its fine to hand out a deal worth only 10% of next years cap.

Dan Patrick was talking about this contract the other day. Called the last couple of years on it a "Victory lap for the agent." Basically the contract was inflated with extra years that will never happen with astronomical salary to make the agent look good.

Thats the thing to do, we'll see inflated deals for ever now.

They have been doing that a while. I remember Wycheck and McNair had deals like that.
