College Football Playoffs

It is fair based on what the committee has been commissioned to do. They are to pick the 4 best teams. If a team wins the playoff, they were obviously one of the 4 best.

If you have a gripe with the system that's fine but the system has been fair according to the guidelines they've presented.

If 4 and 5 are equal teams, and 4 wins the playoff but 5 never had a chance, then the system is not fair by any definition of the word fair.

I said that if you believe the system is unfair then that's fine but the system has been fair within their guidelines they presented.

There's not the same level of parity in college divisions and conferences as there is in the NFL. Apples to oranges...

 

No just that the system did what it said it was going to do. It's applied its guidelines equally for all teams.

Just don't say the committee wasn't fair in their assessment, say that the committee's process needs to be changed.

Of course you'll never take out the human subjectivity as long as humans are involved in the decision making. Even the BCS involved human subjectivity because it factored in the AP poll. I'd rather have this group of 12's subjectivity factored in than the entire AP full of clueless writers.
