COLLEGE WR WE SHOULD DRAFT ?

It's ok if Mariota doesn't eventually develop his deep ball where we want it. That's why we have a strong run game and our top 3 WRs are best in the intermediate areas. Plus Delanie Walker. You build and play around your 1st round QB's strengths. Derek Carr doesn't have a great deep ball either but he still puts up numbers.

 

Well, to be fair, it's easy to put up numbers when you have Amari Cooper.

Carr is known for his deep ball

 

I've said this before. I honestly don't think he can throw more than 45-50 yards through the air.

The deepest throws I've seen from him is 45 yards and WRs usually need to slow down for the ball.

So yes it's an arm strength and accuracy issue because he doesn't have the strength to throw the ball over the defenses head and place it where it needs to be.

There were plays last year id see Kendall or another WR have like 2-3 steps on his man in the outside but he was 35-40 yards downfield. But I think Marcus even knows he doesn't have the arm to throw it.

Which honestly, I prefer that over Fitzpatrick and his "don't have the arm, but **** it... I'm going deep" attitude.

But seeing Dak Prescott throw it from the 30 yard line on the other side of the field to the five yard line and hit his reciever on the money honestly made think. Imagine how much more insane Mariota's game would be if he could throw a deep ball.
