    Thanks for putting the Rat Birds away by the way. I'm apparently one of the few on this board that doesn't hate Manning so much I would actually debase myself to the disgusting point of wanting buttlick and the Ratbirds to win.
    I find it about as disgusting to see the Patriots go to another SB so go out and do the same to them.

    Look back at the Colts season ending losses over the years. In those losses, their defense generallly played well, but their offense stunk up the joint. The Colts are doing their pre-game lobbying for preferential treatment.

    Colts Playoff Losses During Manning's Career and Manning's Stats From Those Games

    * 1999 - Lost to the Tennessee Titans 19-16
    Manning 19 of 43 passing for 227 yards - 0 TDs and 0 Int.

    * 2000 - Lost to the Miami Dolphins 23-17
    Manning 17 of 32 passing for 194 yards - 1 TD and 0 Int.

    * 2002 - Lost to the New York Jets 41-0
    Manning 14 of 31 passing for 137 yards - 0 TDs and 2 Ints.

    * 2003 Lost to the4 New England Patriots 24-14
    Manning 23 of 47 passing for 237 yards - 1 TD and 4 Ints.

    * 2004 Lost to the New England Patriots 20-3
    Manning 27 of 42 passing for 238 yards - 0 TDs and 1 Int.

    * 2005 Lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-18
    Manning 22 of 38 passing for 290 yards - 1 TD

    In the Colts 6 playoff losses during this time period, the Colts have scored a total of 68 points. In those 6 losses, the Colts averaged 11.33 points per game. This is a team that has enjoyed the use of Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Edggerin James, and some good tight ends. Out of these 6 losses by the Colt's in the playoffs did the Colt defenses fail to show up. Even with the 41-0 loss to the Jets, the Colt's defense gave up and average of 24.67 points per game. If you took out that one lop-sided loss, the Colts defense then only averaged giving up 21.40 points per lost game.

    Looking at Manning's stats in these losses. Manning completed 122 of 233 passes for 1,323 yards 3 TDs and 8 Interceptions. Manning's playoff loss 52% completion percentage and 220.5 yards per game average, is far below his regular season averages. His average completion went for 10.84 yards.

    In summary, the facts are this.....in 6 playoff losses during the Manning years, the Colts offense has only averaged scoring 11 points a game while the defense has given up an average of 24 points a game. In those losses Manning's production is far below his regular season averages during those seasons. Why?.....Most believe that he presses too much. Some call it choking. Whatever, it has not been what you would call "clutch" or championship caliber play.

    dateline Chicago - Bill Polian, Black Wizard of the X-Baltimore NFL franchise, held an emergency press conference at the CPDs Equine Depository at 4:20cst today. Black Wizard Bill Polian demanded that Roger Goodell put an end to the horrific display of physical football played by the "sacraficial" Bears of Chicago. "How can the Super Bowl be considered a game when the other team actually makes contact with my precious Peyton. Precious Peyton cannot perform perfection with a persistant physical presence perpetually petrifying his person." said the Black Wizard Bill Polian.

    Black Wizard Bill Polian went out of his way to scold Mr. Goodell about not throwing flags at the coronation of Precious Prince Peyton. "Throw the flags on the Patriot secondary when Code Blue demands or there will be 6 months of Kleenix commercials starring Positronic Prince Peyton."

    As Black Wizard Bill Polian kackled and hacked his way off stage, with the help of the Indiana Indian Gaming Association, he was heard shouting "... and the horse you rode in on!" to a group of boyscouts who were assisting the CPD in tracking down drug dealers and distributing American Flags throughout the greater Chicago region.

    Great QBs vs great defenses?

    The colts only average 11 points in playoff losses? Well the 49ers averaged just 10 points in the 10 post season games joe montana lost. The broncos averaged just 12 points in elway's post season losses.

    Montana was held to just 3 points in successive years in playoff losses to the giants in 85 and 86 and was actually pulled out of the 87 playoff game against the vikings in favor of steve young he was playing so poor.
