Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky The Colts are on the rise in the new edition of the ESPN.com NFL power rankings.

They moved to eighth, up two spots after a win over Houston. They are in control of an AFC Wild Card berth now and can pretty much deal San Diego a deathblow Sunday night.

Here is the weekly breakdown of the AFC South:

2427 I was only off on my own as a significant high or low for one team:

Washington is 10th and I have the Redskins seventh. I dropped them two spots on the heels of the loss to Dallas. Yes they are slumping, but I still think they may be the most talented and most dangerous of the 6-4 teams. I give them a minor edge over Indy because I believe the NFC East (with an average rank of 10.1) to be tougher than the AFC South (14.5).

As always, here's a link to an excellent breakdown of the voting by NFC West maven Mike Sando.

Go and look back at the last 5-6 seasons, then tell me who did the following:

    1) Won the AFC South
    2) Started the season winning 13 games, etc..

Have your day in the sun, but at least try to think before you speak!

Funny, I thought we played in 2008 and not the past 5 or 6 seasons.

That said the Chargers will win.

Only two teams have won the AFCS, and that won't change after 2008

how about going back 10 years?

last few seasons the dolts have won a bunch of games, but this year the Titans are BEATING teams, something the dolts, even in their Tagliebeaued SB year, could not do. Titans BEAT the opposition every week win, lose or McNabb.
    Oh the :coltssuk:
