My point was the creators obviously were influenced by their beliefs when they created him.

The Jesus angle was added later by other writers.

People just always say Superman is a Christ figure and I agree because you can certainly see it that way but that isn't what his creators set out to do.

 

Still is, isn't it?

That's the theory why the Jim whatshisname isn't getting much movie work, because he played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ.

 

You mean the guy who's been on Person of Interest for the past several years..?

 

He's been in about 15 or 16 things since Passion... um... what?

 

This would make sense if the thread was just about comic books and graphic novels....that would not be tv shows, which is covered in another thread.

 

Speaking of which, I just picked up 4 graphic novels today.

Fables: Book 3 Deluxe Edition
Moon Knight: From the Dead
Black Science: Vol1 How to Fall Forever
TMNT: The IDW Collection

 

That's a really good series. I've got it on digital.

 

I actually just went into the store for Fables, then I saw the deluxe edition sitting there.

Its a ****ing awesome cover, $50 but is an eye catcher and the layout is awesome. The other two are brand new to me but the guy said I would probably like them since they are gritty.
