Okay, CC, I'm assuming that you're posting these as a joke, considering your general feelings towards modern cinema.

I've seen at another forum that there are a lot of men well past middle age who are all a-ga-ga about Watchmen. Since I don't read "graphic novels" (i.e. "comic books"), I'm not very giddy about it.

    TDTESS: Keanu Reeves.

    Seriously.

    They cast Keanu Reeves.

Did you know that Keanu is Hawaiian for "The anu"?

Hawaiian has only 12 letters, and "S" isn't one of them.

I'm glad they have moved past pure comic books and on to graphic novels (watchmen) but they have a lot of hype to live up to after 300.

And the anu? Isn't that atomic matter of spirituality and intelligence?

I'm personally very, very apprehensive about being excited about Watchmen. Anyone who has read the novel (and I'm calling it a novel, not a comic) should, and mostly IS, concerned because it is an extremely hard source to translate to a screen. It works beautifully for its own medium, and is a classic for it. Alan Moore's work has been butchered in the past ("V for Vendetta", "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", and "From Hell" were all awful renditions IMO), and he doesn't support this movie, but he did say David Hayter's script is the best he could hope for for a movie translation. Stay tuned.

I wouldn't say V for vendetta was "butchered" but i would agree with your assessment of the league. Haven't seen from hell so i couldn't comment on that one. Watchmen is a very unique and chilling world, there are those i believe who could do it justice... only time will tell if they do.

lol, actually an anu (with no s) is the atom of spirituality. Add that s and its a very fitting name.

Maybe the Hawaiians would have added that 's' if they had one. You do know he's one local kine haole, right?
