Comparing Top 5's

Interesting that manning and brady were tied for votes for best QB now but brady was ranked #3 over the last 42 years and manning not in the top 5.

I think i would rate Roger Staubach over marino and favre.

Top 5 super bowl era QBs.

Those lists show just how pointless it is to do rankings. They change every year. Probably 4 out of their 5 best tackles would be different today than they were one year ago (when the list was posted).

 

What about the other list that everyone seems to ignore? Best players in the super bowl era 1966-present?

 

Cortland Finnegan should definitely be on there... especially if they're going to put Cromartie on the list.

Michael Griffin could also be placed on the top 5 safety list... if they're going to put Darren Sharper in there, he definitely deserves it.

Maybe KVB in the DE position as well... I don't see how Patrick Kerney could be considered better than him. KVB is a beast.


But, like said in a previous post, this was done before the '08-'09 season, so it's not exactly accurate. That explains a lot.

 

not yet they shouldn't. you have to do it for more than one year to be considered great.

 

Apparently you don't... Cromartie is listed as the #2 corner.
