oh here is the rule that the pats cry baby's should have read before crying foul : Rule 4, Section 5, Article 5 expressly permits a Referee’s timeout “when there is the possibility of a measurement for a first down, or if the Referee is consulting with a captain about one.”

Why make it obvious? if the game is within reach, the slightest advantage keeps the NFL fans unaware, and then they ignore all the questionable things that constantly happen.
Millions and millions of dollars. Think about the people that put the most money down. Think about the power. It's not that crazy, and if anything, it is logical. But this is one of the many times that people only see what they want to see. It's safe.

I also think it's funny that espn did so much analysis on the .2 seconds stopped in the Lady Vols game last night, yet they havent even mentioned the Giants/Pats game.
Let me guess though, the Lady Vols just caught a lucky break? The same thing could have happened for Rutgers??? lol yeah...sure.

If you really believe this, (i.e. that the Super Bowl was fixed) explain two things to me.

    1. There was no discernible betting push for the Giants. In fact the opposite happened, there price blew out from $3.95 to $4.15 by my count. Which means more money went on the Patriots than the Giants. So why would the game be fixed to let the Giants win? Are you implying this was done by bookmakers or gamblers?

    2. If the game was really fixed, why would you leave anything to chance. Making the Giants convert a 4th down is beyond risky. Why not just give them a favorable spot on 3rd down. What if Jacobs had slipped at the Line of Scrimmage? Your whole plan is up in smoke.

Gloat, how come you didn't respond to terrykalaka's post at the top? He gave you the rule which states that stopping the clock was the correct procedure.

It's more WHO betted on the Giants, or who betted for the Pats. And I'm not saying the game was fixed completely. They just gave the Giants a great advantage on the most crucial possession of the game.
Also if you'll notice, the Pats, a team notorious for getting all the calls, didn't get any of those types this game.

The stopping of the clock wasn't warranted. There was no measurment. They didn't even look to question measuring. There was no pile. Nothing. It's very rare for the clock to stop in that situation. Very rare.

the Georgetown guard did initiate contact, but the big man left his leg outside his body inviting the contact and the foul. No call would have been better with the game tied and let OT decide it, but the blocking foul was the correct call IMHO.

Again, get off your high horse. I would be complaining because I would be bias in that situation. Doesn't make me right. I would then be whining because I didn't get my way.
